Connecting Ellesmere Port with Liverpool and the whole Merseyrail network.
Ellesmere Port station serves the busy Cheshire town and plays an important role in linking the local community with the wider rail network. Whilst it once sat on the through Hooton – Helsby line, it is now served by regular Merseyrail trains on the Wirral line, and occasional Northern Trains services to Helsby via Ince & Elton. Merseyrail services typically use platform 1 with Northern services operating from platform 2.
Staff are available during weekday mornings and early afternoons, and a ticket vending machine is available outside of those times. Ellesmere Port station is also within walking distance of the National Waterways Museum where it is possible to explore the history of Britain’s canals
This station offers a degree of step-free access to the platform, which may be in one or both directions. Some areas may require ramps or involve limited access depending on direction of travel.
Staff available Monday to Friday from 06:05 to 14:00. Outside these times, please use the ticket vending machines before boarding.
