Working Together for Our Railways

Connecting Communities Through Rail

We’re a non-profit partnership connecting people, places, and opportunities across North Cheshire.

North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership

What We Stand For

At North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership, we’re proud to connect people, places and purpose. Our vision, Everyone Proud of Our Railways, inspires everything we do. We believe our railways are more than a way to travel, they bring communities together, strengthen local economies and encourage sustainable, healthy lifestyles. By working with partners and the public, we aim to make every journey a positive step towards a more connected and caring North Cheshire.

A Grassroots Approach That Works

Led by Local People, Shaped by Local Priorities

As a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organisation, our work is shaped by the needs of the people we serve. We listen, collaborate and act to make a difference. Through strong local partnerships, we ensure our stations, services and community spaces reflect the pride, identity and spirit of North Cheshire. Every project we deliver helps strengthen connections and create lasting benefits for everyone who uses our railways.

Working in Partnership for Greater Impact

We work in partnership with the rail industry to secure funding, deliver meaningful projects and share best practice. By working together, we create opportunities that make a genuine difference. Our collaborative approach ensures every project brings lasting value to passengers, local communities and the wider North Cheshire region.

Part of a National Network

We’re proud members of the Community Rail Network, part of a national movement of over 75 community rail partnerships across the UK. Together, we share a commitment to making rail travel more accessible, inclusive and community-focused. Through this network, we learn from others, share ideas and continue to grow the positive impact of rail in North Cheshire and beyond.
