Serving local villages with community support and limited rail links
Ince & Elton Station lies on the Hooton–Helsby line, connecting the neighbouring Cheshire villages of Ince and Elton. Though small and unstaffed, the station remains an important part of the community thanks to the ongoing support of the North Cheshire Rail User Group, which actively campaigns for improved services and facilities.
All services at the station are operated by Northern Trains. It currently offers a limited weekday and Saturday service — with two trains per day in each direction between Ellesmere Port and Helsby. There is no Sunday service, although trains do run on most Bank Holidays.
Level access is available to the Helsby platform from the car park. To reach the Ellesmere Port platform, passengers must descend a ramp, use the controlled track crossing (if safe), and ascend another ramp.
This is an unmanned station with no ticket machine. Tickets should be purchased in advance or on board where permitted.
10 spaces available in front of the station.
No cycle parking available.
