Linking local industry, communities and connections across Cheshire
Capenhurst Station serves the village of Capenhurst and surrounding areas, including the outer suburbs of Ellesmere Port. Situated on the Merseyrail Wirral Line, it was once part of the historic GWR route from London to Birkenhead. Today, it provides regular and reliable services for both local residents and workers travelling to the area’s key industrial sites.
Although the station is unstaffed, it remains a valuable hub for the local community. With convenient access to Chester and onward connections through the Merseyrail network, Capenhurst offers a straightforward and well-connected option for travel. Whether you’re commuting, cycling in, or parking for the day, everything you need is close at hand.
There is step-free access to the platform, though some areas may include gradients or be less suitable for all users.
