A convenient link to central Ellesmere Port and the wider Merseyrail network

Overpool Station serves the central area of Ellesmere Port and provides a useful connection on the Hooton–Helsby line. Opened in 1988, it became part of the Merseyrail network in 1994 following electrification of the branch from Hooton — allowing direct services to Liverpool via Birkenhead.

Although unstaffed and modest in size, Overpool offers a straightforward and reliable link for local residents travelling into Ellesmere Port, Chester, or further afield via the Merseyrail network.
