Ellesmere Port is a large industrial town and port in Cheshire, situated south of Wirral on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal to the north of the city of Chester.

Station information

Built in a very distinctive style, the station was first opened in 1963 and is noticeable for its red sandstone with slate roofs, coped Dutch gables, casement windows and glazed porch on a sandstone plinth.

The station is run by Merseyrail with staff available to assist you from 0605 to 1400 Monday – Friday. The station has 109 parking spaces, limited cycle racks and ticket vending machines for easy ticket purchase before you travel. Find out more
