Overpool is a village on the Wirral Peninsula in the county of Cheshire. A suburb of Ellesmere Port, it’s run under the authority of Cheshire West and Chester.

The station opened in 1988 on the branch line that runs to Ellesmere Port from Liverpool. It’s been part of the Wirral Line on the Merseyrail network since 1994.
