Welcome to Little Sutton Station

A quiet stop with historic charm and direct connections into Merseyrail

Little Sutton Station serves the village of Little Sutton, near Ellesmere Port, and sits on the Hooton–Helsby line within the Merseyrail network. The Grade II listed station dates back to 1863, originally named “Sutton” before being renamed in 1886. It joined the Merseyrail network in 1994 following the electrification of the Hooton to Ellesmere Port branch — linking the village directly to Liverpool via Birkenhead.

Although one of the least-used stations on the network in recent years, Little Sutton remains an important connection for local residents. The station is unstaffed but has a ticket machine and essential facilities in place for daily travel.
