Our partner Northern Rail introduced new direct trains from Chester and Ellesmere Port to Manchester Victoria, Rochdale, Halifax, Bradford and Leeds last year.

The train proudly bears the ancient name of Chester following a train naming ceremony in October 2019.

The new trains all feature free customer Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, at-seat power and customer information screens with real-time information. They are also more spacious for customers and are fully accessible, with spaces for wheelchairs and cycles.
