A key West Coast Main Line hub linking Cheshire to cities across the UK
Warrington Bank Quay is one of five railway stations serving the town of Warrington and stands as the town’s primary stop on the West Coast Main Line. Located on the southern edge of the town centre, it offers direct services to London Euston, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester and North Wales. The station complements east–west routes operated from Warrington Central and Warrington West by focusing on long-distance north–south travel.
The station features two island platforms with a mix of 19th-century and mid-20th-century architecture. Access to the platforms is via lifts or stairs through a central subway from a modern street-level entrance. Recent improvements have brought a new travel centre, updated facilities, and expanded parking. Cheshire Cat bus services connect the station to the town centre and beyond, making onward journeys straightforward.
Step-free access is available to all platforms via lifts and a subway from the main concourse.
