New Website Launched for North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership

We’re excited to announce the launch of our brand-new website. Our old site had served us for many years, but it no longer reflected the full scope of what we do. This refresh gives us a modern, accessible platform where everyone can find out more about the North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership and the positive impact community rail has across our region.

The new website is designed as a central hub for information. Here you can explore our projects, discover how we work with local groups and partners, and see the many ways the railway contributes to life in North Cheshire, Runcorn and Warrington. It also shines a spotlight on the vital role played by residents, volunteers, community leaders, partner organisations, and railway colleagues in shaping what we do.

We’ve made it easier than ever to get involved. Right now, there are volunteering opportunities at Helsby and Ellesmere Port stations, where we’re working on environmental improvement projects. These initiatives not only enhance the stations themselves but also help create welcoming spaces for passengers and local communities.

For those who enjoy active travel, you’ll also find resources on exploring by train. With walking routes such as the Wirral Way and the Sandstone Trail, our area is rich in opportunities to combine rail travel with the great outdoors.

This is just the beginning. Over the coming months, we’ll continue adding updates and stories to ensure the website grows alongside our activities. It will become a living record of the many ways community rail strengthens connections between people and places.

We invite you to take a look around, explore the new pages, and discover what’s happening in your community. Together, we can make our local railways stronger, greener, and more connected.
