We were delighted to represent the North Cheshire Community Rail Partnership at Avanti West Coast’s Stakeholder Conference in Birmingham on 22 September 2025. The event brought together community and regional voices alongside Avanti’s leadership team to share updates on rail services and future developments.
The conference provided valuable insights from Avanti’s senior management, who outlined current challenges and opportunities for the business. They also looked ahead to the introduction of High Speed Services once HS2 becomes operational between London and Birmingham.
Regional stakeholders added to the discussions with thought-provoking comments, highlighting the strong connection between reliable transport links and the sustainable economic and social development of local communities.
With Warrington Bank Quay and Runcorn stations both located within our Community Rail Partnership area, NCCRP is beginning to explore collaborative projects with Avanti West Coast. Our shared aim is to listen to community voices and deliver tangible benefits for passengers, local people, and the wider region.
