Following our recent call for volunteers to help enhance the environment at Helsby Station, we’re pleased to share that a successful meeting took place on 5 November with an enthusiastic group of local residents.
Many great ideas were discussed, and we’re delighted that an initial group of seven or eight volunteers will now be working with us and train operator Transport for Wales to transform the station into a welcoming space the whole community can be proud of.
There’s still room for more volunteers to get involved. If you’re interested, please email us at enquiries@northcheshirecrp.org and we’ll be in touch to chat about opportunities.

We’re looking for volunteers to help us bring new life to Helsby Station. Working in partnership with the railway industry and the local community, our aim is to restore the station gardens and improve the overall environment, creating a welcoming space for both passengers and local people.
In early October, we’ll be hosting a meeting for anyone who would like to get involved. Whether you’re part of a community group, an individual volunteer, or a local business that can help with materials or administration, there are many ways to contribute. Every role is valuable, whether it’s hands-on gardening, helping to coordinate supplies, or supporting with organisation.
Transport for Wales, who operate the station, will be working with us to agree the detailed arrangements. Together, we want to see Helsby Station return to its former award-winning status, a station the community can be proud of.
If you’d like to volunteer or simply find out more, please contact us at enquiries@northcheshirecrp.org
Let’s work together to make Helsby Station greener, brighter, and more welcoming for everyone.
